Stroll Through Brussels

Brussels Grand Place is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. In 1988, it was included into World Cultural Heritage by the UN.Getting off subway, it takes  5 minutes walk to the Grand Place.  The big square is surrounded by glittering buildings, including Hotel de Ville, and restaurants, pubs, malls. Every two years, in August, an unique flower carpet will be laid in the center of the square, millions of colorful begonia form a variety of beautiful patterns. Tourists enjoy photographing here, a band plays classic music every day, pigeons walk leisurely. A perfect place for an evening walk.Brussels is the biggest city in Belgium. Due to its vital position, here you can enjoy all those grand buildings and architectures.

Chez Leon is the most prestigious restaurant, since 1893.  Belgium is rich in mussels, the most famous food here are mussel & potato chips. Mussels are in several flavors, tomato sauce, cheese baked, wine baked. Each serve cost around 16 euro. Delicious and fabulous!

From Chez Leon to St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral, it’s about 7 minutes walk.  St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral was built in 11th century. Since it’s located in capital, it’s used for royal weddings or state funerals.Magnificent architecture standing in tranquil, the cathedral is a spectacular site. You can see various sculuptures along its both sides. You may also get a feeling of solemn. It is a nice place for understanding the history of Brussel.

Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert is a shopping gallery. There are boutiques, antique shops, cafes, chocolate shops, etc. in the promenade. If you want to enjoy a luxury experience, here is recommended. Besides, you can also purchase some exquisite souvenirs.

Waffle Factory is a Waffle shop that locals favors. I had a strawberry waffle, at 3 euro, very tasty.
